  • Meredith Churchill
    Practice Manager

    Meredith commenced working as the AMC Practice Manager in February 2015, following a career of 28 years of working in hospitality. With an extensive background in management, her skills and experience lends itself well to the variety of work the position requires. 

    When not at work Meredith endeavours to be a domestic goddess and enjoys spending time with friends and family which includes their beautiful German Shepherd Zena and playful cat sisters Callie and Willow. Meredith is also a member of a local Lions Club which provides assistance to the community. 

    For relaxation Meredith finds nothing beats sitting back with a good book, glass of wine with cheese or a selection of dark chocolates. Heaven...

  • Clare Johnson
    Veterinary Nurse

    Clare moved to Tasmania in 2004 and has been working at the Animal Medical Centre since 2006. Clare originates from the UK where she became a Cert IV qualified Vet Nurse and has been working as a nurse for 27 years. 

    When not at the AMC and caring for your animals, Clare spends time with her husband and their two active sons and their lovey Golden Retriever X Lily.

  • Jen Perkins
    Veterinary Nurse

    Jen has completed her Certificate II and has recently completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. When not at work Jen spends time with her family and her horses. She is also a German Shepherd fanatic!!

  • Sarah Wilson
    Veterinary Nurse

    Sarah joined us in 2013 after making the move from Smithton. After 3 years of study and working full time at the AMC, Sarah can now proudly say she is a qualified Cert IV Vet Nurse! Sarah spends most of her days helping in surgery as well as taking on the role with Jasmine as one of the Puppy Pre School cooridinators. 

    Away from work, Sarah enjoys snowboarding and kayaking and doing up her humble abode with her partner Rhys and their 3 fur children. They have a Fox Terrier named Scout, a Whippet named Willis and a rescue kitten named Catness.

  • Lana Depuit
    Veterinary Nurse

    Lana previously worked at the AMC as a Vet Nurse for 13 years before having 7 years off to raise her children. We were fortunate enough for Lana to return to us in 2014 as a part time Nurse. 
    Her interests include spending time with her family, camping, motorbike riding, water sports, reading (when she has time) and socialising with friends! 
    Lana has a black Labrador called Lily and a ginger cat called Buddy. 

    Lana previously worked at the AMC as a Vet Nurse for 13 years before having 7 years off to raise her children. We were fortunate enough for Lana to return to us in 2014 as a part time Nurse. 
    Her interests include spending time with her family, camping, motorbike riding, water sports, reading (when she has time) and socialising with friends!

  • Nadia Butler
    Hospital Nurse

    Nadia is our Hospital Nurse and joined us in 2014. She is the person who looks after your fury-friends during their stay at the AMC. 
    When Nadia is not at work her animal care continues as she looks after 27 animals at her home. These pets include her Beagle X Pointer named Roxy, her rescue cat Tommy and her pet duck named Ducky (just to name a few). 
    In her free time she likes to cook, go to the gym and listen to music.

  • Belinda Peck
    Receptionist

    Belinda joined us in 2014 from Bakers Beach where she had been working for Parks and Wildlife! Belinda had always dreamed of working in a Vet clinic and we are pleased to have her as a part of our team. Belinda is our wildlife expert and enjoys all aspects of nursing as well as reception!  
    At home she likes to spend time with her daughter their wired haired Jack Russell named Mickey! She loves playing netball, four-wheel driving and camping!

  • Lauren Johnstone
    Veterinary Nurse

    Lauren started working at the AMC in April 2015 and is currently studying her Cert IV in Vet Nursing. Lauren loves all animals but her ultimate favourite would have to be horses! In her spare time she loves to run and keep fit as she is also a qualified Personal Trainer!

  • Angel Loft
    Veterinary Nurse

    Angel is a local Launceston lady who joined us in 2015 after moving back from WA where she trained and completed her Cert IV in Vet Nursing. Angel has 4 years of in clinic experience and we are excited to have her on our team!
    Angel is a small dog lover and at home she has a 4 year old Pomeranian X named bear, a 9 month old purebred Chihuahua named Macky and a DSH cat called Mini. Angel loves music and enjoys sporting activities with her husband Peter.

  • Teresa Bellinger
    Receptionist

    Teresa has recently moved back home to Launceston after living in Coffs Harbour with her family. She joined us in February and you'll see her mostly with our friendly reception staff. Teresa comes from a background in hospitality/ reception and is excited to start working in the animal care industry! 

    In her spare time you will find Teresa at her holiday home in St Helens where she loves to spend time with her family including her gorgeous Grandson! At home she has a Mastiff called Marley, a DSH called Maggie and a very cool green cheek conure called Plugger!

  • Karrie Wheeler
    Hospital Nurse

    Karrie Wheeler joined our team this year in early January after completing year 11 at Launceston College and studying her certificate II in Animal Studies. Karrie is our casual kennel hand who looks after the day patients in our hospital. Karrie cares for all the animals by talking to them, taking them for walks, feeding them and changing their beds. She also has a lot of interest for animals at home as well, caring for her dogs, horse, birds and her new puppy who is an English Springer Spaniel named Duke.
